Enrollment Policies
Welcome to SJ Swim Master.
Our enrollment structure is designed to provide consistent instruction, reserved instructional time, and a clear path for swimmer development. Please review the policies below before enrolling.
1. Instructional Seats
SJ Swim Master enrollment is based on reserving an Instructional Seat, not purchasing individual lessons.
An Instructional Seat reserves a recurring instructional day and time for one swimmer throughout the selected enrollment period.
Each seat includes:
-
Reserved instructional time
-
Placement within our Route-Based Scheduling System
-
Structured swim education
-
Individualized skill progression
-
Instruction based on the swimmer's developmental needs
Instructional Seats are limited and subject to availability.
2. Semester Enrollment
Semester Enrollment is our primary enrollment option and is designed for consistent, long-term instruction.
Semester Enrollment includes:
-
A reserved weekly Instructional Seat
-
Priority scheduling
-
Structured semester programming
-
Consistent weekly instruction
-
4 make-up tokens per Instructional Seat, per semester
Make-Up Tokens
Your 4 make-up tokens provide flexibility when a scheduled instructional session is missed.
Tokens may be used at any time during the active semester, and no reason or explanation is required.
To request a make-up, submit the Make-Up Token Request Form.
Make-up requests should be submitted at least 24 hours in advance, or as far in advance as reasonably possible.
Requests submitted with less than 24 hours' notice may be considered at SJ Swim Master's discretion and are not guaranteed.
Make-up sessions are subject to availability and are not guaranteed for a specific date or time.
3. Monthly Enrollment
Monthly Enrollment is available only when instructional capacity remains after Semester Enrollment has been accommodated.
Monthly Enrollment includes:
-
Access to the same instructional curriculum
-
A recurring monthly Instructional Seat
-
Scheduling based on availability
-
1 make-up token per Instructional Seat, per month
The monthly make-up token must be used during the active month and does not roll over.
Monthly Enrollment does not include priority scheduling, and availability may change based on enrollment demand and operational capacity.
4. Make-Up Token Rules
Make-up tokens:
-
Are assigned to the individual swimmer's Instructional Seat.
-
Cannot be transferred or shared with another swimmer, including siblings or family members.
-
Cannot be sold, exchanged, or redeemed for refunds, credits, or cash.
-
Do not roll over to another enrollment period.
-
Expire at the end of the applicable semester or month.
-
Must be requested through the Make-Up Token Request Form.
Once a make-up session is scheduled using a token, the token is considered used. If the scheduled make-up is missed, an additional token will not be provided.
Missed sessions beyond the available make-up tokens do not qualify for additional make-ups, refunds, credits, or prorated tuition.
5. Attendance
Tuition reserves the swimmer's Instructional Seat for the selected enrollment period.
Clients are responsible for attending their scheduled instructional sessions.
Missed sessions do not automatically qualify for refunds, credits, prorated tuition, or additional sessions outside of the applicable Make-Up Token Policy.
6. Scheduling & Routes
Instructional days and times are assigned through our Route-Based Scheduling System, which considers:
-
Residential building location
-
Pool availability
-
Instructor routing
-
Enrollment demand
-
Operational capacity
Scheduling preferences are considered whenever possible but cannot be guaranteed.
7. Enrollment & Payment
Enrollment is confirmed once the required payment has been received.
Semester Enrollment: Full tuition is required unless an approved payment plan has been established.
Monthly Enrollment: Tuition is billed monthly and continued enrollment is subject to timely payment.
Instructional Seats cannot be held without payment.
8. Refunds & Cancellations
Tuition reserves instructional time and program capacity. Therefore, tuition is generally non-refundable once the enrollment period begins.
Missed sessions do not qualify for refunds, credits, or prorated tuition.
If SJ Swim Master must cancel a session due to instructor illness, facility closure, severe weather, safety concerns, or other operational circumstances, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule when feasible.
9. Program Changes
SJ Swim Master may make reasonable changes to schedules, instructors, routes, program offerings, or operational procedures when necessary to maintain safe and efficient operations.
Clients will be notified of material changes when applicable.
10. Questions Before Enrollment
We encourage families to review these policies before completing enrollment.
If you have questions about your Instructional Seat, enrollment option, scheduling, tuition, or make-up tokens, please contact SJ Swim Master before enrolling.
